My previous sound machine, we had to scroll through every setting to get to the one LO likes and it was very disruptive. I love how you can save your regularly used noise, light color, volume, and brightness to your favorites so it’s always ready to go at the touch of a button. My friend recommended the Hatch and it’s amazing.
This is the one baby product I cannot live without! We started with a different sound machine that wouldn’t get loud enough. Her toddler stays in bed until the green light comes on and the bird chirp 😂 I have no idea how well it works on infant, but I guess it doesn’t hurt to have a solid routine in place for those toddler years. I’m a FTM and I had no idea about any of this hatch stuff until one of coworker talked about how her toddler was taught this early on. I know I just wanted a solid bedtime routine. I know other parents who schedule so many programs for nap time etc. Around 5months he had a more predictable schedule and we have been on this program setting since then. When he was younger, it used to be bedtime routine started at 7pm and everything go pushed back to 9pm bed time.
Was it always like this? No, we always adjust it to baby’s sleep schedule. At 630am-7 it switch to green light with bird chirping, to signal it’s time to wake up and get our day started. Then around 7pm, we program the orange light (med high level) and white noise to come on. We played this since he was about a month old when we wanted to get a bedtime routine started. This signal to my baby that it’s time to wind down and the start of our bedtime routine. So at 6pm-7pm the red light (med level) and twinkle twinkle lullaby comes on. Yeah on the app you can program the color, time, and sound.
